Algab õpilaste eTwinningu projekt Reading Circles. Meie kooli projektigruppi kuulub kaheksa õpilast 8.b klassist: Karit, Karina, Mariann-Hanna, Elisabeth, Andreas, Raimond, Robyn ja Raul.
Esimese ülesandena oli vaja filmida videotutvustus ja see Twinspace keskkonda üles laadida. Teiseks ülesandeks oli ajurünnak teemal Why read? ja oma mõtted postitada Padletis.
Õpilastest on moodustatud grupid, kuhu kuulub igalt partnermaalt üks õpilane. Õpilased on juba üksteisega tutvunud ja ka loetav raamat valitud. Järgneb ülesannete jaotamine grupis ja siis lugema!

A Hundred book characters

Our students read lots of books and drew their favourite book characters in January and February. Now, the walls of our library are decorated with the students' drawings. You can find favourite characters from fairy tales, Estonian children books and novels.

Poetry competition

Poetry Competition "The Ferry"




Our students took part in National Poetry Competition called "The Ferry".
The idea of the competition was to write poems about memories, experience and feelings about visiting islands and having a ferry trip.
The best poems were awarded.
As there were lots of good poems written by the students, our Estonian teacher decided to sent them to the popular magazine Hea Laps. The editor and the Estonian poet Leelo Tungal liked the poems so much that they were published in the magazine.


Osalesime üle-eestilisel luulevõistlusel „Praam“, kus lapsed said enda isiklikud mälestused, kogemused ja tunded nii praamisõidust kui saarte külastamisest luulevormi panna.
Parimaid töid premeeriti lausa rahaliselt, samuti saab neid nüüd lugeda erinevatel laevaliinidel. Auhinnalise II koha vääriliseks hinnati Meribel K. (5.a klass) luuletust, eripreemia sai Andre L. (4. a klassist.
Kuna luuletusi, mis väga hästi õnnestusid oli rohkem kui auhinnalisi kohti võimalik saada, otsustasin pakkuda neid populaarsele lasteajakirjale Hea Laps. Toimetaja ja lugupeetud luuletaja Leelo Tungal oli samuti luuletustest vaimustuses. Nii sattusidki meie kooli luuletused lausa mitmesse Hea Lapse numbrisse.

Handwriting Day


On 23 January, we celebrated Handwriting Day in our school to keep in mind that it's so important not to forget handwriting. It is important to discuss whether your handwriting is legible or not, and how beautifully you can write when you focus on writing.
 
When the hand-written letter, note or document is fast becoming a thing of the past, the art of elegant (or even legible) handwriting may well be under threat. Handwriting Day encourages you put pen to paper, and to practice your handwriting.

23. jaanuaril tähistatakse käsitsi kirjutamise päeva, tuletamaks meelde, kui oluline on mitte unustada kirjutada ka käsitsi. Sel päeval ongi hea arutleda käekirja üle: kas sinu käekiri on hästi loetav ja kui kauni käekirjaga sa suudad kirjutada, kui sellele tähelepanu pöörad.

"Let's draw 100 book characters!"


As the Republic of Estonia will  celebrate its 100th anniversary on 24th February, our library invites children to draw famous book characters. Everybody can take part in the event.
The final deadline is 5th February.

Tööle lisada nimi ja tegelase nimi, keda tööl kujutati.

 

A book to our school library

A campaign "A book to our school library"


Our charity campaign "A book to our school library" has ended.
Almost all classes gave a book as a present to the school library. Now there are twenty-two new books to read in the library thanks to the students.
Giving a book as a present is a good deed, everyone can experience the joy of giving presents  and offer the others the pleasure of reading.

Järjekordne heategevuskampaania "Raamat raamatukokku " on läbi saanud.

Õpilaste abiga rikastus raamatukogu 22 raamatu võrra.

Raamatu kinkimine on heategu, millega saab kogeda kinkimisrõõmu ja pakkuda lugemismõnu!

Kõik klassid, kes kampaanias osalesid, said tänutäheks ka kommikoti.

Logo Contest


Our students took part in GoFor Literacy logo contest. The logos were designed in art lessons. Finally, three logos were chosen and sent to the contest.
